Ari Hanson receives the Jewish Child and Family Service Award for 2024

The Jewish Federation of Winnipeg selected Ari Hanson as the 2024 recipient of the Jewish Child and Family Service Award. The award recognizes Ari’s longtime volunteer commitment and leadership.

Ari began volunteering with the Jewish Child and Family Service (JCFS) when he was 17 years old.

In 2020, he became the youngest president of JCFS in the organization’s history.

JCFS is the primary provider of social services to the Winnipeg Jewish community, delivering counselling, education and support programs to help clients cope with a diverse range of challenges and situations.  JCFS also offers family and individual counselling, older adult supports, child welfare services, foster care and adoption services, immigration and resettlement services, and mental health and addictions support.
