A tribute to the Honourable Alan Reed Philp
Overview
A former partner of Fillmore Riley, the Honourable Alan Reed Philp, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 with his family by his side on April 12, 2022.
Before Justice Philp was appointed Chief Judge of the County Courts of Manitoba in 1973, he practised law at Fillmore Riley for more than a decade. Those who worked with Alan described him as a good partner and a kind and fair man.
Justice Philp had a long, distinguished career. After serving as a judge at the Manitoba Court of Appeal from 1983 to 2005, he retired at the age of 75.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his friends and family.
